Making a Reservation

To secure a reservation, a responsible person needs to take ownership of the booking. The responsible person should provide their name, phone number, email address, and home address. Alternatively, reservations can be arranged through a designated company representative by providing the company’s name and contact details. Bookings can be made through the salthaven.nz ‘book now’ portal, by calling +64275329542, or by emailing salthavennz@gmail.com. The person responsible for the booking must be at least 18 years old and is accountable for the reservation, including overseeing minors under 18. Any inquiries are encouraged and welcomed.

By making a payment the responsible person agrees to these terms.

ID may be required at check-in.

Payment and Pricing

At the time of booking Salt Haven will issue a non GST invoice with payment instructions included. This will be emailed to the address provided.

Payment options are bank transfer, credit/debit card or cash (by negotiation). We use Paypal to process card payments in a secure and timely way.

A minimum two night booking is required to submit a ‘book now’ form via www.salthaven.nz. Rates start at $250 up to $440 for 2 nights.

To book a one night stay contact your hosts directly via phone or email. A one night booking starts at $170 up to $250.

A deposit of 25 % is required to secure reservations made more than 7 nights before arrival. Then the outstanding balance must be paid in full before 2pm on the day of arrival (this must be showing on our online bank statement).

Bookings made less than 7 days before arrival must be paid in full before 2pm on the day of arrival.

If the payment terms are not met invoices and quotes are cancelled after 48 hours of issue or the passing of payment deadlines. The booking guest is welcome to rebook subject to availability.

Reservations of 7 nights or longer will receive an 16% discount at invoice.

The physical address of the accommodation and directions are sent out via email when the reservation is secured.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing to salthavennz@gmail.com

Bookings are fully refundable up until 7 days before arrival then the deposit is non refundable. After guests have checked-in the total amount of bookings are non refundable.

House Rules

All cooking in the outdoor kitchen.

Free car parks for up to 2 vehicles.

Promptly report faulty or damaged property

No entry into garages and the owners house.

Guests’ non checked-in visitors must be approved by the host in writing salthavennz@gmail.com. No parties or intoxication.

No smoking on the property. Vaping outside is OK.

No pets

Room Service

You will check-in to accommodation that is made up with linens, toiletries and comes with kitchen equipment . We provide basic cleaning equipment in the room and any further cleaning or linen changes are by negotiation.

Checking-Out

Please lock up and return the key to the lock-box. Please check heaters, fans and lights are off.

Privacy Statement

We collect information from booking guests or people making enquiries when they, of their own free will, provide information either written or verbal. This could be via a phone call, by submitting a form or emailing. We collect names, addresses and contact information to provide a short to accommodation service.

We operate an outside CCTV system.

We will not willingly, unless required to for legal reasons, pass on that information to a third party or use the information for any other purpose than operating our short term rental business.
